This amendment specifies the WirelessMAN-Advanced Air Interface, an enhanced air interface designated as “IMT-Advanced” by the International Telecommunication Union–Radiocommunication Sector (ITU-R). The amendment is based on the WirelessMAN-OFDMA specification and provides continuing support for legacy subscriber stations.
